Incorporate legacy HTML pages

Hello, I have a set of static pages that are generated by a documentation tool, as HTML with CSS. The pages form a hiearchy and could easily be generated as XML instead of HTML. They are fairly basic: text, hyperlinks to sections in other pages and to other sites, inline and offsite images.

Trying to figure out complexity for my site. Not very experienced with php

Hello

I was playing with D6 for some time now and actually was a bit frustrated. I can't really separate the easy-to-do things from the hard ones. I'm a C# developer, have small knowledge in ASP.NET/MVC and generally PHP and staff do not pose problem, I think.

Hardware recommendations/requirements

My employer is looking at possibly migrating to a Drupal-based website. I'm trying to get an idea of requirements to host our site to assess virtual private server (or shared hosting) options. The website is an image-heavy but with a fairly small number of node equivalents - about 650, though expected to grow. Each item has a variety of searchable metadata fields, maybe 15-25 fields per item. Traffic is relatively light; pageviews average at about 5000 - 7000 a month, to a max of about 12,000 a month.

Recommended system specs?

Drupal newbie here! I'm excited to jump into Drupal, but before I can get started I'll have to invest in a new computer. There's no hope of my old dinosaur being able to handle it. But I can't seem to find info on system requirements, so I'm looking for recommendations on specs before I go shopping for a new computer.
