Before you start

Anyone here using drupal 7 on production sites yet? I am considering using it for a new community site I am building. D6 is much more stable and mature, but I'm not planning to launch my site for another 6 months or so. I would just need mostly basics, like views, panels, og, forums, event calendars, and whatnot. There are a lot more modules available for D6, (something like 3800 to 600), but quite a few modules are made redundant with D7. I'm pretty comfortable with D6, but I was playing around with the D7 beta and really liked the interface improvements.

However, those 2 websites has no or very little code customization.

I am evaluating using Drupal vs DNN vs Joomla for a few websites. The basis of the website is being able to 'review' (not only a 5 star system but also a comment associated to that review) for specialized services in niche markets. As background, I have experience with the Web being both a Java and ASP.Net developer for over a decade now. So I am pretty comfortable with any coding that needs to be done.

I want to start a website on MBA portal and not able to decide whether I should use Druppal or Joomla. Please suggest me the advantage of using Drupal over joomla.
