We would like to integrate Drupal with our on-premise CRM system. Drupal would be the public website/CMS and will need to read/write many, many different types of data from/to our Microsoft CRM. Here is a small list of examples:

I am completly new to drupal & PHP and while doing its evaluation, I was not able to find answer to my 2 questions provided as follows:

1) I found that most drupal new versions doesn't provide backward compatibility support for modules developed for older versions of drupal. so what is the procedure of migrating an existing drupal project from older version to latest. In case i have used 20 drupal modules do I need to do changes and them migrate in new version. Or is their any tool present that do this task automatically?

I've been building sites with Joomla for quite a while now, but for my next build I think it's time to give Drupal a try. I have a few questions first though, as I have an interesting project on my hands.

The website will be strongly connected to Social Networking platforms, Facebook, Twitter, foursquare, flikr, vimeo, youtube.

It's probably best if I give an example or two of the features.

1. Is it possible to link a Facebook album to the website, so that it displays in a gallery and the users are able to 'Like' and 'Tag'?

Dear Drupal experts,

I am a newbie to Drupal but I have successfully installed Drupal on my PC. I would like to allow users to download .csv files based on the URL. The parameters which define what information to be downloaded will be specified in the URL. I am not sure whether this can be done in the first place. Is there a ready module to use for this task? As I am a newbie, I do not even know how to start. Could someone point me to a starting place like which API to use?
