Before you start

Hi!
I want to ask you Drupal users out there if Drupal is suitible for my project?

I want to create a site where you can by a product. This is not a physical product but more an information product.
And the steps should be:

1. You see the product on the site and you pay for it.
2. You recieve an e-mail with your unique password and loginname.
3. You go back to the site and login.
4. Inside (after you login) are the information that you payed for, in this case different steaming videos.

I'm looking into switching my company to Drupal, but I'm curious to what other people think of the system.

The particular site we would be using this for would have a lot of video on it. For this work OK with Drupal?

Are there cost to Drupal (besides the themes)? I already have a CSS and HTML design for the site that I would like to use.

Any other info or pros/cons would be great. Thanks

I'm wondering if it's possible to generate Drupal pages via a spreadsheet-like database.

please take a look at this site:

each one of the Works in this section has a separate page, and many fields within that page.
(this site is hand-coded, not in Drupal or another CMS)

is it possible to create (or is there a module) that would let me generate a website section like this, but to let it be controlled from a single database?

I installed Drupal and I am using a different program that allows me to create a genealogy website. Since its using the same database as Drupal just created new tables, am I able to retrieve the data onto Drupal nodes. I would like to have Drupal as my main page with some data that I have entered into the genealogy program.

I have install domain access module.how to give permission to content type to it's available to particular domain only .

but still it's given me error "This form is domain-sensitive, be sure you select the proper domain before saving." .

how will give the permission for particular content type as per domain? i am not able to find the solutions?
