Before you start

Hi all,

After a while of not using Drupal I've been asked to create a online platform that monitors students working on their thesis while doing an internship. Working with a lot of people and content makes it hard to find my way back into it.

The main goal is to know what a specific student is doing in which company and when.

Complete  newbie to Drupal, Ive always used WP or Joomla (strike me down Satan..)

But anyway, Ive been asked to help a friend who works for a wildlife charity, that insist the website has to be in Drupal 8.  

Basically they need some sort of interactive map functionality, eg a map of Alaska - you click on an area and it displays, what animals live there, you can then drill down to other info like rivers, temp, conservation info etc .

In short, I'd like to at least consider setting up a Drupal site to do these things:

All I want to is protect as much as i can my videos from download like youtube.

what are the right modules or procedures to do?

looking to get started but my english is not good were can i find info in spanish

Has anybody used or experienced a good Web site implementation for exchanging seeds? Looking for something that is easy to use for vegetable start exchange, seed exchange. gardening equipment exchange. 

Any Drupal ideas out there that have explored such an implementation?
