Before you start

Hi,

I've got a site which will run in different languages. The language is determined based on the language domain, and the site will thus exists as "example.com", "example.de", "example.pl", "example.co.uk" and so on. All sites run on the same codebase and database.

I've experimented with $cookie_domain in settings.php, but cookies will not be shared across top level/language domains. I've also had a look at the Bakery module, but that does not work for top level/language domains either.

We're currently in the start of creating a gaming community. We've been a guild/clan in a game and we wish to expand to other games which is the reason why we're making a community. We choose to use Drupal as it seems like a great and flexible CMS system which is what we need :).

We have many needs and I'd like some feedback on this. Since I don't know the system very well yet, and I'd like to know whats posible to do and how :). I will greatly apriciate it those taking the time answering and giving feedback.

The though is that we'll have a main community site, and one site for each of the games determind by the subdomain. Example: www.communityname.com -> Main site, swtor.communityname.com -> site to guild for Star Wars The Old Republic, aoc.communityname.com -> site to guild Age of Conan, and so on.

The main site will contain a navigation menu different more community related sites. Also there will be a own menu under the navigation menu with links to the different guild/clan sites that's under the community. The navigation menu will also have a link to forum. We wish to use integrated forum in Drupal, and it will list community specific forums, and all the different gaming guild/clan forums.

Hello everybody,I am pareparing for developing an online dictionary,this users can ues this dictionary to search terms where i store in mysql database.The users can also edit terms and add new terms,after their terms are examined and verified by the administrator,they will be posted on the website.I am new to drupal and i am using the version7,can anyone give me some advice to start my work.what mouldes do i need to install and if someone can provide me some case for me to study,i will be greatful about it.

At Home » Administration » Configuration » Media under Temporary directory, it says:

A local file system path where temporary files will be stored. This directory should not be accessible over the web.

For me, it was set to the value "/tmp". Now, I opened this folder at my shared webhosting server. And I can see a lot of files/folders from all users on this server.

Hi everyone,

i am about to start my first ubercart site. I am looking for a theme.
There are some free and commercial based nice themes for drupal 6.22.

Can i use any theme for drupal 6.22 for my ubercart site or i must find a theme explicity for Ubercart?

E.g Can i use the following theme http://www.antsin.com/demo/vivacity/ fro my ubercart site?

And what are the advantages of using an Ubercart theme VS an ordinary theme for drupal CMS?

I'm just checking to hopefully confirm that what I want to do is doable, has been done before and is just perfect! for Drupal. I am putting together a website for a non profit. in gathering the requirements, it became clear that what is wanted is an external website and an intranet site.
