For a project I am working on, I created a Drupal site and installed all the modules and did all the settings. Now the people I created this site for, will need to go to work on making the actual content for the site. The only problem is, they are a team and would like to be able to work on the project at the same time and at different locations.
I'm embarking on a website venture. Basically I want to build a site that has 3 groups of users.
1, users that post jobs
The user must be able to post jobs and receive quotes. The user should be able to accept the best quote. Other users shouldn't be able to see the quotes for this user. They need to be able to leave a review after the job has finished
We're looking for a solution for building a staffing, recruiting, and job posting site for a niche industry, and were turned on to Drupal. Does Drupal have any extensions or add-ons that would help with the development of such a site? We have two programmers and neither of us has Drupal experience, but we do have experience with some open source shopping cart programs (oscommerce and Magento) as well as with WordPress.
I have two questions regarding Drupal versions 6 or 7 (I am using the Snow Leopard OS on Mac):
1) I am new to Drupal and wanted to practice building sites. Is it possible to install Drupal locally on my Mac?
2) Should I assume that with Drupal, it is possible to create a website that has the capabilities of most any other website? Specifically, I would like to create a website where users can create accounts and login to post or update information.
