First, Thank you for reading and considering my Post. I am new to this community, so please be gentle if I break any local rules/conventions.
Not only am I new to Drupal.Org, but I am new to Opensource/Drupal/Linux based hosting. I am one of those guys that made a living for 20 years developing using Microsoft tools (vb6, .net, vb.net, c#, IIS, COM+, etc) and now I am trying to get into the Anti-MS tools. My first Project, building a non-profit site on a Linux host for an effort which along with the basic CMS functionality: Security/Articles/Forums/Blog/etc, we also need the ability to create an item in the system, type into about 5-10 Custom Fields attributes of the item and then be able to upload 1-10 +/- photos. Hopefully via the menu, or by searching I will be able to present a "Gallery" based on a selection of items by one or more of the fields.
I am hoping to not write much code, (as my skills are from the other camp) so I am trying to use base Drupal and hopefully bolt on a module which will get me there with little or no coding.
So is my needs:
1). capable of being done in base Drupal?
2). capable of being done with a database/fields module which has the ability to associate an image with a field?
3). capable of being done with a Gallery Module which allows for several custom/extended attributes about the picture?
