Before you start

I want to start a Urdu language website project in Drupal 7, kindly let me know can i do urdu base website easily on Drupal , what are possible hurdles as compare any other language such as English website?

I am about to make a website for a small sports community and I was wondering if Drupal would be the best to use for this task. My requirements for the CMS are:

1. Customizable template. The template should be customizable. I don’t mind fiddling around with html/css/php but it should not be overly complicated to customize the theme to my exact liking.
2. User levels. I require 4 levels of user control for registered users as
1. Administrators - access to entire backend
2. Writers - can post on the site but not access user database
3. Players - should be able to make and edit a player profile (preferably from the front-end) and should be able to enter events on the site
4. Fans - should be able to comment on articles and post in the forum
3. Event management / calendar. It should be possible to create events that Players can enter before a given deadline on the site.
4. Forum. There should be a forum which is integrated in the design of the rest of the site. I am not interested in using a bridge to say phpBB. It should be integrated in the CMS and completely integrated with the users on the site.

Currently I am trying to select platform for my first big WEB site project, and I'm wondering, is it possible, without digging deep into PHP code, to integrate Drupal forum, blog and shopping cart modules, so user would experience a feel of integral web-site?

What do I mean "integral":
- Forum, blog and shopping cart pages look and feel must be similar
- User must be asked for registration only once, and than could post comments in blog, forum, and use shopping cart

Would Drupal work for a site I want that allows people to upload files that they can offer for sale as one time purchase or subscriptions or both? What modules might work for something like that? Does this sound like something needing a lot of customization?

So I got an iPhone app and android app written for my "Place app". It's a location base app.
From these app, I'm managing a location database with normal field such as "Name", "Categories", "addresses", "lat", "long", "phone number", etc.

Since I have the app but not the website. I have to manage the database via the developer website and the function the provided is very limited. I'd like to create a Drupal website where I can use the database created by the app and managing the database on the website. Many important features are needed such as allowing users to add more location to the database, auto backup of the database, approve the submissions from the users, adding more locations to the app, allow users to search for location via the website from proximity of zipcode,
