Can I use javascript in the pages? I mean you can insert html if you click on html code on the page. But will it also accept java? or not?

basically they way boonex dolphin 7 comes out of the box, except I would like to use drupal because it is GPL and it has multi site abilities.

Hello, when I add HTML tags into, say, an article or basic pae via Filtered or Full HTML, the tags get displayed literally and not interpreted. As I don't know Drupal well enough to understand how it processes the tags, I'm sure where to troubleshoot. I removed the WYSIWYG module and redownloaded & installed it. I also removed the ckeditor 3.6.4 and installed 3.6.6. No difference. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have just registered for a drupal account, but have not yet downloaded the drupal program. I tried, but it did not work as I believe I am required to download some other programs first? This is confusing. Are you able to download drupal and create a website full of content before purchasing any hosting? (like Weebly). Or it is required to purchase hosting and use that to create your website? I am completely new to drupal and having a bit of trouble understanding...

My domain is hosted by hostgator and I am trying decide if Drupal is right for my multi user site.
