Hi,
I have read some threads and seen drupal has some cool functionalities. I am currently testing Joomla, which I like because it has a great aesthetic appeal. However, I think Drupal has some of the power that I am looking for, for my new site.
Please let me know if Drupal has the power to do this:
This is a funny version of an affiliate scheme.
I want two member groups - free and paid.
Paid members pay a monthly subscription or they get downgraded to free. (I will need to be notified if a paid member cancels to stop services off of drupal)
Any member can refer new members and is marked as the referrer.
So far I think I can do this using the ecommerce package and the referral package. The next bit I'm not so sure about....
I want paid members to have a credit account. If they refer new members, half the credit gets put into their account. If they refer 2 paid members, their paid membership is free. They can now stop payments. If they refer more than 2 paid members, I will pay them. Was that clear?
They should also be able to see if the members they have referred are paying or free so they know when they can safely stop payments.
Essentially it is an affiliate scheme for all members. They can join for free or paid, recruit new members, and get free services if they recruit at least 2 paying members. If they recruit more, I will pay them comission for their efforts every month.
