Multi User Bloggin

Hi there,

I am just wonder if Drupal is able to categorize users so that each user is only allowed to post to a specific location e.g.

http://www.example.com/username/

and that users blogs will only show up there? Are there any mods for this? Or any software that anyone is aware will do this? I know wordpress is unable todo it and Drupal doesn't seem to say anywhere how the Users are handled.

Thank you very much for any help.

Personal Services Providers

Hi,

This is my first post here.. hello to all!

Before i spend some hours trying to install and configure another cms to find i can't do all the mods i might require.
Tryed using osdate and got that installed n all but if the support isin't there, i can't configure the system by myself.

I have some simple requirements that involved extra options in the orentation selection that any user would select from.
Example: Usually a user would have the options to selects - i'm a male/female/couple looking for: male/female/couple

A few questions. Thanks in advance for helping.

I am considering adding Drupal to a website I run.

My #1 need is to allow multiple, pre-approved editors to add content to the website. For example, if this was a car website, I might have an editor for a Ford section, and an editor for a Chevy section. I want the Ford editor to write content to Ford, but not to the Chevy section. Is this possible?

Second, I want to integrate a forum. Currently I use 2 different forums, one is phpBB and the other is SMF (simple machines forums). Can either of these two be integrated with Drupal? Does Drupal have it's own forum software?

blog-postings and rights-management

hi there,

we're planning to use drupal for a kind of intranet-system with access for the public.

is it possible to have a blog with drupal and to define certain entries only viewable for members and not for the public and ohter entries for all?

thanks in advance,

tobaco

Will Drupal fit our project's requirements?

Well, my group's project is an open-source, freeware game development project.

I normally would not post in here and instead dig up all the information we need but am too tired. Pardon me!

We've been looking at Xaraya, Joomla, and countless other CMSes.

These are the most important features we need:

- an inbuilt or supported Wiki like MediaWiki(we'd prefer MediaWiki)

- custom user permissions. Disable anonymous browsing. (Drupal has it.)

- Multiple groups for each user. (Drupal has it.)

organic groups - community site

Hi folks,

I want to put together a diabetes website and make it to where each type of diabetes is a group or network. I am looking for the modules I will need to do the following. I will list this ones I think I need - anything correction or addition would help me a lot. Thanks! On with the details:

When user sign's up they will be asked
1) Who has diabetes?
- I do
- My child
- My spouse
- A family member / friend
- My patients / clients

2) What type of diabetes?
- Type 1
- Type 2
- Gestational
- Varies (for doctors / educators)
- Other
- Not sure

3) What is your zip code (networking / mapping feature)

A taxonomy will be built up around these questions. Zip code, Type of diabetes, and Who has diabetes will be color coded & mapped using Gmap so others can like themselves can see a map representing them. I have an idea how to get this data from the database to create the map - that is not a problem. What I couldn't find is a solution to have these questions on the "edit my account" section for the user. I would prefer this to be on the signup - or have the option too. Since some people are outside the US, gmap only supports zip codes for the US, I would also need the location module for those who are outside the US. Gmap supports the user to find their location then plugs in the long & lat info to the db. I know I need the location.module + gmap.module to do this. But, if the above questions can be put in profile.module then I can't use location. I read somewhere they both can't be used at the same time.
