Can I create a multilingual site with Drupal? And with multilingual I mean there are flags on top of the page you can click to choose the language you want content in. The editors must be able to write the content for all the sites from one login.
I've been toying with the idea of setting up blogs for a small community. Basically, what I want to do is the same thing as Livejournal, except on a much smaller (and simpler) scale.
Right now i have a project which is consist of similar websites.
I am thinking on using drupal for my project.
I need forums, central user database for my websites, user-contributed content.
But, the problem of nowadays internet content providers is unwanted users. Simply spam and bad peoples.
Thats why i need spam control and simple content management system. Also user-roles and such.
From what i see drupal is rock solid system and pretty extensible.
I know that expecting a full-blown out-of-box system is wrong.
I am creating a web space where different users can work on a collaborative online training manual, but one that we could easily convert to pdf. I would like an outline of the manual, the pages in the manual, task listing, and an easy way to keep track of everything that needs to be done. Below are the modules I was thinking about. Does anyone have any tips on additional modules that would assist us? And how could we assign specific pages or topics to specific people?
My searches to date have only shown me information on multi-sites, i.e. running a number of websites on one server (Drupal installation), which isn’t what I’m looking for.
I am considering using Drupal for a company’s intranet. The company has a number of dispersed offices and staff at each office need access to the intranet’s content.
For various reasons, it is impractical to use a central server, say at the head office, which all the remote offices connect to (for some offices bandwidth is limited and the connection unreliable).
