Is Drupal a viable solution for my website? Please review What is Drupal before posting.

multi site from single domain, no sub domains

I have fallowing requirements:
Running multi sites under single domain, but not using sub domain:

example.com/site1
example.com/site2
example.com/site3

example.com would have index html page, but when user goes to example.com/site1 they get in to Drupal, any subsequent click shuld preserve the path, i.e example.com/site1/news/mynode. Site2 would be different Drupal instance in different database.

can this be achieved.

Many thanks

Need a recommendation

I have a project that needs done and I need some advice as to how to go about it. I need a website where people can register and post pictures of their vehicle and talk about it, list all of the modifications, etc... Basically a MySpace for your car where every member has their own car page. However, I'm stumped as to where to go. I've looked for scripts for something like this and nothing is exact.

Would Drupal be a good choice given my needs?

Hi everyone...

I am brand new to open source CMS so please be forgiving if I miss following protocol with this post.

I would like to build (or have built) a new web site for the church I attend. Here are the features that we would like to include:

1. Ability for people to download sermons (audio & powerpoints)
2. Event registration (paypal?)
3. Photo albums
4. Calendar with upcoming events
5. Secure forum for members only

Plus the normal information type pages (about us, contact, beliefs, vision/mission etc...)

Is a blog feature an answer?

I need to create a website that will allow visitors to post articles and also post comments. I'll have links to different pages, in which they will have different articles, and this is where I want visitors to be able to post comments. I looked into integrating a blog, but I don't want to go to a separate site to post articles or comments. Does anyone know of any other feature that will be appropriate for what I'm looking for? Thank you!!

Before I use Drupal can I create my own themes?

Hey everyone,

So I've designed several websites in Photoshop. And then I eventually send them to friends to be coded. Or I can lightly code them myself. I've been looking for a CMS and most people point to Drupal. I've been reading some other threads and all most of the functions I need to be done in Drupal.

So I am curious to know, what I need to do different than a site is usually coded to make it drupal theme compatible? Is it hard to do? Is there any video tutorials on this? Or any tutorials?

Thanks!

JSDOMenu License

Hi,

I am writing a web-based software product and i would like to incorporate the JSDOMenu. The product i am creating charges customers for its use. The software is hosted in one place for all customers.

I am unsure whether i am able to use the JSDOMenu in this way. Also, i need to know what would be required of me if i did use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
