I'm a tad bit new with Drupal, so i'm trying to figure out if what i want to do is possible with it.
I'm currently working for a charity and we are trying to reduce our stationary costs!
We have a core list of items that we have discounts on from the supplier but people are lazy and just order pens, notepads and general stationary which aren't not on the core list which starts to add up and chew into our funds!
So i was thinking of creating a internal site which will allow people to click and purchase items that are only on the core list that they need.
A email would then be sent out to our receptionist, telling her that these people need certain items which she would then order.
That is the barebones, simple version of my idea if you have any suggestions to the idea then please let me know!
However, if it's possible i was thinking about doing a range of things with this system.
- Placing a budget on different departments!
- So they won't be able to spend more than they are allocated for that month.
- Track Spending
- So we would be able to see which department spends the most, what and when they ordered.
I was also thinking of more of an automated way such as
People click on the item they want and the amount.
