Is it possible to build with Drupal ? The site provide people to post their advertising and in next few months after the site is built, the site will change to "pay for advert."

I realise a lot of people have been in here and asked this same question and I have looked through those posts but could not see a match for exactly what I want to do with Drupal.

I have been tasked with creating a site which can be duplicated for new team members.

Let's say that this site is going to sell widgets and will be offered to others who sell widgets as well. When someone wants to join our team they will get not only our support but will get a duplicate of our website. The only difference between our website and their duplicated website will be their company info and contact information. We will be providing custom content that will appear on all of the websites in the system, thus the need for CMS.

In a help page on my host's site (dataflame) it says that it has Drupal 4.6.3. Does that mean that I should work with the same version?

It says it’s in code freeze in the front page, and I noticed there's the choice for choosing Drupal 6.x in versions when making this thread, so I was wondering how close was the D6 release, I know these releases can’t be estimated, but what about a guestimate date? A month, 2 month, 6 months?
