I am about to start a collaboration with a developer I have never worked with before to build and grow an website (his going to build the site based on my guidelines and improve it in time, and I am in charge with project management, content and online marketing)
What should I write in the contract so that it's both fair for him and for me?
I don't want him to change his mind and just steal the concept and the content and get away with it.
Any chance someone would be interested in developing a module to do this? http://drupal.org/node/1208662 I think this is nearly imperative for anyone leveraging a Lightbox into an advanced gallery, catalog, or other display of info.
This function may already exist with another module - if anyone has some tips they would be greatly appreciated!
In the fast-paced and ever changing world of open source CMS web development exists an endemic issue of perception versus reality. Drupal 7, introduced in January nearly one year after the release of its very popular predecessor, Drupal 6, is mired in misconceptions of its readiness and reliability. D7 conjecture is often blogged, tweeted, and whispered about in office corridors. But the truth about Drupal lies with the real Web Leaders – those of us sitting in the top 20% of the trade – who have ventured into every corner of the system and emerged espousing the benefits of the seemingly unendingly amazing Drupal.
Over the last year, D7 has emerged from its infancy as a mature, robust platform. Two major revisions have stabilized the core in a production platform, and allowed module and theme contributors to be much more comfortable porting code to the new API. Other major improvements have been achieved through the migration of popular and critical third party modules into the core, as well as an improved and efficient file handling system. These updates have pushed D7 into high demand. In both the private and public sectors, particularly in the Federal web space, the adoption of the D7 CMS is astounding. WhiteHouse.gov runs on D7, and many of the new members of the House of Representatives are following closely behind.
Some days ago, a client ask me to install drupal. The client, some days after, had some problems with the thumbs of the image. Lihttpd returns 404 for the thumbs.
I was sure that drupal was completily compatible with lighttpd because... Why a php project like this must be dependent of the web server?
Request new password - link in automatic email returns page not found - why? it used to work http://drupal.org/node/1265324
If this is not the right forum to ask this question, out of the list, which is best to get a reply back. I don't seem to be getting much luck when I post on the general discussion board but always seem to think this is the best but never get any replies to questions I ask which is a little disheartening as know you are all a great community.
