Hello everyone,
I'm still quite new to Drupal and this is my first post on these forums, so I thought about introducing myself a bit. I'm the current webmaster of zZine Magazine (www.zzine.org) an online magazine affiliated to the cyberarmy (www.cyberarmy.net) community which periodically publishes IT related articles, podcasts and online publications.
After months of using a website coded "from scratch" for our magazine and after getting tired of hearing people complaining about missing features, bugs and lack of flexibility in the current website I decided to propose the usage of a CMS.
My team was skeptical at the beginning, mainly because of our past bad experience with another CMS. They started fearing that "our website will have the traditional CMS-like look" or that we will be too tied to the CMS and not be able to do what we want.
An old and experienced member who also happens to be involved in Drupal Documentation Team - Angela Byron aka webchick aka snarkles, correct? I hope not to have destroyed your privacy, but if I could figure that out from Google and Drupal anybody can... ;) - suggested us to try Drupal and I decided to learn more about it.
After a few days, I decided to try porting the old site to Drupal, in particular our articles, publications and categories, and I found out that it could be done. I quickly fell in love with Drupal, I mustsay that: I've tried various CMS but Drupal seems the most advanced, user friendly, feature-rich and - VERY important - easy to extend.
