General discussion

Non-Drupal related but I figured some people here might also be building Android Applications. I'm interested in starting to try and learn developing these apps and also iPad apps as well.

I'm looking for some advice on really good books on the subject of Android/iPad development. If you know and recommend any, please let me know. Also sites with tutorials you like would be helpful as well.

Anything to suggest?

me and my fellow student are currently working on a research study concerning this project's efficiency in terms of communication and workflow at all.

we are interested in any stats or maybe former discussions on this topic.

so this question goes out to the major responsibles or those persons who could actually give some answers to our main questions:

Can i create a Database system like "lead companies do"...and then distribute those names and contacts to subscribers?

I know that websites like wwww.insuranceleads.com use language such as PHP, MYSQL, HTML, AND XHTML and are able to create databases that are accessible to subscribers.

Can this be done with Drupal?

I have yet to see or hear of a site that was done in Drupal that can do this.

Anyone know the answer to this?

Can anyone recommend how to send SMS to multiple networks in Sweden? My client wishes to send out SMS to a small number of users upon an update of certain content.

I wish to use D7 but i'm not sure that this is possible as yet so if it is possible in D6 i'd go for that!

I've just finished my first Drupal course, and coming from 10 years of web design and development, the last 3 using Joomla almost exclusively, I'm very excited with what I've seen of Drupal so far.

It is much more intuitive than that other CMS, I believe building sites will take less time and the free modules are going to be a plus to my bottom line.
