Hi, I am hoping to get a little guidance on a project that I will be starting soon. I have been doing some research and have honestly become overwhelmed, there is a lot of good information, but then there is a lot of really old information (info from 2009 and back). What I am looking for is a little guidance on what I will need as far as modules, which ones are the "better" in that category, etc.
It drives me crazy when content isn't even in a block. Like on one page you have a ton of content so it goes on and on and the sidebar has ended miles back. Worse is when there is little content but the sidebar goes on forever in a thin strip with whitespace taking up the largest part of the site. It just looks ugly. I hate it so much.
Why doesn't Drupal just host their code on GitHub? It would be much easier for everyone to participate. I think it would lead to much more participation and collaboration among developers. Especially for modules. Any reason not to host it on GitHub?
I am trying to rebuild my website(veggiethings.com) where some of my users be allowed to create a seprate site/pages which will consist the following item.
Restaurant pages
1. Info Page about their restaurant
2. Menu
3. Today's Special
4. Coupons
5. Location (Shared by the whole Drupal website)
Grocery Store pages
1. Info Page about their restaurant
2. Weekly Special
4. Coupons
5. Location (Shared by the whole Drupal website)
So I am loving the new Following button, it surely cut out those unecessary subscribing comments but it didnt seem to take in consideration the +1 comments. People type +1 sometimes to tell the maintainer how important that issue is. Hello Drupal.org maintainers - wouldnt it be nice if there was a "28 users following this post " dispaly somewhere around the button?
