I'm new to Drupal.org, and I've started blogging about Drupal. Often, I want to quote/modify/use forum-answers/blogposts/ tips by other Drupal users from or even outside Drupal.org. Or I might want to link their content.
Because I'm unsure, I'm not just entering their names and relevant URL under "credits" but I'm also writing to each of them even for using their forum answers. And any content, including blogs.
I have been using Drupal for almost 6 years and over the past several months some of the changes in the Drupal community have me wondering if the Drupal community is at risk of exploding.
I understand it is an open source community and people choose to use whatever Internet tools work best for them but some of these changes come at a price of making users feel they are being held hostage.
I've obviously inadvertently changed a setting, either with my user control panel on the Drupal.org site, or with Chrome itself, but the website appears mostly unformatted, rather as if it uses an unmodified version of the Zen theme. (as attached)
In Firefox the Drupal website shows correctly.
(Not sure how to upload my Screenshot to the Drupal Server)
Ive used VMs to run a local server before but Ive never actually developed in a VM before now. Ive just started a new job and the entire development environment is in ubuntu. So my file system, browser and IDE are all within a VM running linux.
Is this a common set up? Im always developed in Mac or PC before so im finding the switch a bit tricky. I can only use 1 of my 2 monitors for development and im not used to the linux interface at all. Ive worked from home for a long time so I dont know if this a normal set up for contract work?
