This forum is for less technical discussions about the Drupal project, not for support questions.

Something I think would enhance Drupal documentation.

It would be an understatement that "newbies" (I'm one) struggle with the level of documentation and support on Drupal.org.

A) It seems that many module creators/maintainers don't have the time or aptitude to create clear, detailed documentation.

B) The "handbook" portion of Drupal.org is generally written at an expert level.

Yes, there is the forum in which to post questions. But the need to do so represents a failure of the above.
It represents a reactive solution rather than a proactive one.

Scan Distribution

I am thinking of buying a distribution for D7 from a vendor. How do I make sure that the vendor has not embedded a malicious code inside the php code.

Chat with the Drupal Community on IRC

Hi
Can anyone advise me. Is IRC Chat still being used regularly to ask questions about Drupal?
I tried to sign up but has a lot of difficulty registering a username - I think that most of them had been used up.
Kind Regards
Matthew

Book Suggestions?

New to - as in never used - Drupal and am looking for suggestions for the best all around 3rd-party book to learn Drupal - either on Kindle or dead tree. (I've been using Joomla for the past five years.) Thanks!
