I did some work on a project today and submitted some patches, rah rah etc. The thing is, the patches were filed against two separate issues, but both needed to touch the same part of the code. Locally, that would have been just two separate commits - one changing that line of code, and the second embellishing it further - or even a single commit. But it didn't feel reasonable to make the fix to one issue dependent on another, so I rolled both patches relative to the untouched branch.
I am talking about Drupal 8 Symfony2 in a meetup next week. I already gave a course (3 days) about this topic. This to both Symfony and Drupal developers. The audience next week will be mainly Symfony developers and no Drupal developers.
So I'd like to know
1) what would be the most interesting topics for Symfony2 developers on this topic?
2) And most importantly, why should a Symfony2 developers learn Drupal 8?
I'm already saying something about the Symfony components that are used in Drupal 8 and how they are used.
well of course people are still working on the D7 modules and all their work is really appreciated. But I thought I would ask this question because from my subjective point of view things have just come to a grinding stop. When I first started using Drupal D6 was just being replaced by D7. If there was a bug in a module I would get a reply and lots of people would be active in finding a fix and I could move on really quickly.
Can anyone point me towards a developer/group that could help me get an integrated payment system on my existing Drupal site? I understand that this is something that should have been done in the code and it involves something called PCI compliance. My original developer was pretty much incompetent and I hired another developer in Europe (I'm in the U.S.) and I have been waiting 2 months now just to get a quote from him to see if I can even afford this. I looked at some of the companies listed on this site and they seem to be only interested in clients who have major money to spend.
I am starting my own business as a small scale industry; there are lot of strategy planning and implementation for the starting of new business. Therefore anyone has the idea of initial strategies to open a new business. Help me out.
Thanks.
I was posting to a question (trying to help) that I no longer see, in the "post installation".
Just curious to know what happened, was the asker who deleted it, the drupal team, or else?
