Does anyone know where I can find an online tutorial or book that explains the steps for setting up a D7 COD event site as an Admin or user to the site, not a developer? The documentation on drupal.org doesn't have all the steps documented and in the order they need to be performed.

What is the recommended way for adding behavior to Drupal Websites? Imagine I need to create an admin module(fully featured) which will be accessible by thousands of visitors. Each visitor has his/her own online shop which will be managed by this custom admin.

I am looking for something similar to SPRING MVC (or even Portlets) from the Java World, but, in the case of Drupal, for PHP.

I have latest 7.34 Drupal Site and getting extraordinary amount traffics avg 11.95 GB a month..
My site has been crashed many times in a row now and I think that my site is getting DDOS attack.
The hosting company have installed firewall and monitoring tools and got good mounts of logs. The hosting company is suggesting me to do optimization but I have no clue what to do.

Any ideas?

AWS is creating a lot of buzz around its new DB (based on and compatible with MySQL 5.6). They claim it is much faster and (which would be more important for big enterprise websites) much more available and resilient than standard MySQL.
