I was wondering if someone can direct me to a comprehensive Drupal template to manage an Portal (Association/Networking/Ad Management) site?

I plan to being a portal of my own and need to review various layouts for concepts.

Hello, I am planning on adding an Opt-in form to www.glamfree.com. I do emailings using VerticalResponse, manage the accounts with salesforce.com and the site is migrating to Drupal.

Drupal newbie...

Using the core upload module. I've uploaded several files to several different nodes and have linked to them within the text in each node. Because of that, I have set permissions so that all types of users can access uploaded files (otherwise my links to the files don't work).

I would like to avoid displaying the attachment list on the nodes, though, for everyone except administrators. Is there a way to do this?

We are about to go live with a Drupal / Ubercart e-commerce site. Data security and redundancy is very important to us but this is the first project of its kind we have done and I was wondering if anyone could provide some advice.

What I'm trying to achieve is the following:

I have two (Mysql) databases, one for drupal and one which is actively managed by another application (lets say lapurd). The question is: is there an extention/module to the cck kit from which I can retrieve the data from the lapurd database. I've been searching my but off but it seems no one has done this before.

Any hints/tips?
