When I install ckeditor (3.1) without drupal i get an editor with grouped and draggable buttons in the editor's chrome.
When I install ckeditor with wysiwyg 6.x-2.x-dev, I get all available buttons, grouped but not draggable in the editor's chrome.
When I set specific buttons through the wysiwyg module's wysiwyg profile settings, i get an unbroken group of buttons in the editor's chrome.
I've tried Googling this, but haven't come up with any definitive answers -- how often should cron.php be run?
I know the real answer depends on the site's needs, but is there anything (dis)advantageous to running cron say 3-6 times per day versus once a day or even once a week?
I don't know much about Drupal, I read about it on this Website but I never used it or have seen it in action.
For some upcoming projects I am looking for a CMS which fulfills the following features:
- discussion forum with restricted access (registered users only) and the opportunity to upload documents
- member area (members can register and login and they have to pay to be part of the community)
First of all I read a lot of comments and discussion on both CMS and it all boils down to preference. I'm staying with Drupal because of the flexibility and power. I just recently began working with Joomla and the thing I hope Drupal 7 will have or maybe in the future is the very nice UI. I really hate Drupal's UI. I don't like the fact that it's web page driven. Bouncing back and forth from page to page just to make changes, add this here and there. It's irritating.
Have been working with Drupal 7 dev versions on MAMP. No problems until recently. Now, D7 installs, but fails to prompt for user details, then rolls over immediately to the front page and displays the message "No active batch." Looking at the User table in the DB, I see the string "placeholder-for-uid-1" in several fields...?
Cross-checked by installing 6.15. No problem. Worked like a charm.
