Drupal developers are invited to submit a proposal for creating a website based on the Drupal CMS that offers a "trailing stop" share price alert service to paid subscribers.
What is a trailing stop & what does the website need to do?
'Trailing Stops' allow investors to track the price of a share on the stock market and be alerted if the price drops by a certain %. The unique feature of a trailing stop is that if a share price continues to climb then the price at which the trailing stop will be triggered will also move, thereby allowing an investor to "lock-in" their profits.
Example to illustrate logic.
1. Share price of ABC Corp.
2. Investor buys shares at $1.00
3. Investor wishes to sell the share if the price falls by x% (e.g. 10%)
4. This means that the "trailing stop service" will trigger an email alert if the share price falls to $0.90
HOWEVER
5. The next day, the share price of ABC Corp. closes trading at $1.25 (a 25% jump!)
6. The "trailing stop service" will note the price at which the share closed each day and update the price at which an alert will be triggered
7. In this case, the "trailing stop service" would update the trailing stop to trigger an alert if the share price falls to "10% (line 3) of $1.25 (line 5)" - thus creating a new trigger point of $1.125 (note how this has risen from the initial trigger point on line 4)
I have just started with Drupal, and despite my best efforts I have reached an impasse. Can anyone help?!
I am trying to develop an online training website, which allows a registered user (student) who is reading through a presentation in stages to be automatically directed back to the page they last logged out of, when they next log back in.
I also want the website to achieve automatic production of an on-screen certificate that includes their name, once they have completed the presentation.
