Drupal 7.x

I've seen several theme developers have sections where visitors can demo their custom themes. How do you accomplish this?

We are seeking to get a web application developed for a service we are launching.
I'll give you brief overview of features required

1) User authentication /registration individually (Add FB connect/OpenID)
2) User profiles (they can edit/update/view only their own profile and not the profile of any other users. Lets call these users agents.
3) Client login
4) Clients have campaigns. They can have one or more campaigns running at any given time. Campaigns have timeframe
5) When a campaign is available, the admin can send request to join to agents. Agents can choose to accept or decline campaigns.
6) Agents to be chosen for campaign based on target search criterias like demographics or any other criterias we choose. Number of agents/campaign to be fixed.
7) Agents take part in campaigns. As per of the campaigns they take part in offline activity and then they have to fill out online feedback reports, surveys, questionnaires etc and post campaign poll
8) The results of these campaigns are available to be viewed by the client. Different analytical reports required based on feeback/questionnaries/polls etc available to clients
9) All feedback has to be moderated through admin or campaign manager.

I am about to start on my new project / business. I want to ( without giving to much info on my idea ) allow my users to be given a list of sites and resources to post their art. I want them to be able to basically have this presented like a list / check list so that once they goto the site to post they art they can then later on see that they have been there.

I'm a bit of a noob but I am playing around with D7 and in D6 I could create a taxonomy vocabulary and then terms, and then when I created a story it was an option to select the taxonomy terms. Now in D7 I create the Taxonomy terms but when I create an article there is no option to link those terms to the artice.

How do I enable this?

I currently have a site built from the ground up where users can register, login, and they have content that is manipulated in various tables specific to that content. I would like to wrap Drupal around this site. My main concern is the table/field configuration of Drupal and since the current site does most things through index.php, would it work just referencing this through a sub-directory.
