Drupal 7.x

Hi,

I've tried several ways to make this work but must be doing something wrong.

I have an existing site that works well at [code]example.com/drupal[/code]

Here's what I've done in my last attempt.

1. Copy the entire ..sites/default directory to ..sites/site1 directory.

2. Set [code]$base_url = 'http://site1.example.com';[/code] in ..sites/site1/settings.php

New to Drupal, and I have one page on my organization's old site that includes documentation on anything from how to use the telephone system to how to install the Pidgin communicator. What I can't figure out is how to upload these to my Drupal site! Also, I want a user to be able to search for a word in one of the documents. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am using the Nice Menu module, developing a custom theme from the zen sub-theme Starterkit.
Now, I created a nice menu but every item of this Menu is there because so it is in the Main Menu, thus if I remove an Item from the Main Menu, this will not show in the Nice Menu either.

What I want to do is removing the Main Menu and keep only the Nice Menu.

How do I do that?

limit download files (file field) in Drupal Private file system per role (download number of files per period of time)
