Will drupal work for me?

Hi!

I have a question, my question was unanswered at the Joomla forums, so I thought the Drupal forums would be worth a shot.

So, I wish to create a new website where users visit the site and meet a search bar, in this search bar they should be able to search for peoples names, such as Martin, if there is results they'll be taken to Martins profile. In this profile there will be different information about Martin, such as his criminal records.

How I can redirect ¿? the search result from the default node view to my custom view?

Hello everybody.

I've a problem in my new site that is broking my head :-) When I make a search, the search results links to a node directly but I'm not using the default node view for displaying the content, I'm using my custom view with a path like this: 'studio/product/15'. If I change de pattern in the pathauto module in order to obtain a path like that for my nodes, I can't link to my view in the site, Drupal redirects to the default node view directly.

Sorry for my english. I hope you can understand my question.

LDAP Authorization issues

Using LDAP 7.x-2.x-dev

I'm trying to get the LDAP groups mapped to user roles and have not had much luck. Our groups are set up such that the users are listed within the groups, but not the other way around. I finally chose 'Create drupal roles if they do not exist' and I got a new role called 'array' created. I'm fairly certain that's not the name of my ldap group, but it would explain why it hasn't matched with my existing groups and roles. :)

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? TIA!

Question about taxonomy and views.

I created one content type for submitting videos. This content type will be associated with 2 Taxonomy vocabularies, one with 2 preset video categories, and one for free tagging. I also used Views to create 2 pages, one for each video category. What I need to do is display a block on each video category page with the corresponding video tags. I'm stuck after creating the 2 blocks. I'm filtering each block by "Taxonomy: Term" "Operator: is equal to" and "Value: Category x", but then I can't find a way to display the "Video tags" vocabulary terms.

Alias URL invisible in taxonomy

I'm trying to convert my site from Drupal 6 to 7 and I've a problem with Alias URL. In D6 the alias was visible in /taxonomy/term/xx or in views lists of nodes. Instead, in D7 /taxonomy/term/xx show the path like 'node/xx'.

Where is the problem?

Thanks!
