I apologize up front, but being one of those drupal users who knows just enough to be dangerous, I tried to find some help in the forums but came up empty. If you can point me to something, I'd appreciate it.
Here's the problem. I have the domain bleckblog.org. I use it for personal (not much) and teaching (much). One of my teaching domains, bleckblog.org/comp has gone wonky. Another, bleckblog.org/lit is just fine.
I updated my content at bleckblog.org/comp several weeks back, and with classes getting ready to start, went in to finalize things, but that's when I ran into my trouble. It appears all content is gone, and I cannot add content, such as blog posts or books. When I try, I get the message that "this post cannot be saved."
When I click on links to content that should/used to be there, I get an "access denied" message.
I upgraded from 6.22 to 6.28 and all is well on that front, but the home page just says "welcome to your new Drupal website!" Except it's 10 years old!
I use opensourcehost.com and they did a restore, but only back one week and that didn't help, so the problem seems earlier. As you might guess, I have not backed up the database in who knows how long. I don't even know if it's a db problem. In looking at one db that works and one that maybe doesn't, I am not able to discern any differences that might be the problem.
