Installing Drupal

Got following error:

Failed to connect to your database server. The server reports the following message: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2005] Unknown MySQL server host 'localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock' (1).

While "localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock" has no problem to hook up with Joomla (Sorry, no offense).

Please advise.

Hi everybody, i am having problem installing drupal on the webserver. i tried it many time and on many webhosts. but it didnt work it shows 500 error. whereas i just installed wordpress and it works fine on all there.

Please do guide me . i am very new to drupal. this is the firtst i am testing it on free server.

Hi, when i changed my server some nodes started giving me "The requested page could not be found" although its showing on views, but the full node is not available and the majority are working even in the same term
anybody can help me?

I have a project: An encilopedia of creative commons content and i found Druapl as the ideal CMS.

I'm trying to install Drupal 7 with the default .htaccess file but is imposible yet.

I can install it without it and i have activate mod_rewrite on apache.

The problem without the htaccess file is that i have problems with the imagefield module, i can charge or upload files but i can't see (and the clean urls obvius)

I am trying to install Drupal 7 on IIS 6. However, I get this error message on the start pge of the installation: "Warning: ini_set() [function.ini-set]: A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time in drupal_environment_initialize() (line 521 of D:\php\example\includes\bootstrap.inc)."

Then after completing the installation process, I face only a blank Drupal page with says "Page not found - The requested page could not be found."

I must ask, is there any special configuration on PHP when using IIS?

I just installed Drupal 7 on IIS with MSSQL. It seems to be working except that the Text module is not enabled (?!?).

And Drupal throws an error when trying to create a new content type.
