I'm trying to setup Drupal for the first time and it's complaining that PHP Data object support isn't enabled.
I’m getting a message that PHP Data Object support is not setup and I’m having trouble figuring out how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My environment is Windows 7 with:
Web server Apache/2.2.16 (Win32) PHP/5.4.3
I've only just reinstalled PHP. I could not find a php.ini file at all and I can't find the PDO dll's anywhere on my system and I'm not finding a place to get from with Google (At least not a place that I feel I could trust downloading DDLs from anyway, lots of sites that are also hocking virus scan software... not places I like to get DLL's from).
I install PHP by simply extracting the PHP zip to c:\php and adding that the system path.
The PHP test page comes up from when I browse to it on localhost. Also the Drupal Setup app appears to be running OK... the Drupal Set wizard is what initially informed me about the PDO problem.
The specific error that the Drupal Setup is giving me is below:
PHP extensions Disabled
Drupal requires you to enable the PHP extensions in the following list (see the system requirements page for more information):

Database support Disabled
