Installing Drupal

I have spent the last several days trying to install Drupal with nothing but errors...including Acquia Desktop Dev, Windows Webmatrix, as well as all the tutorials I could find, like WAMP, etc. I got nothing but errors from all these methods.

Somebody posted about Bitnami, and it worked the very first time! I am SO happy.

Hi , I also do not go on what may be the . I wondered how the new posts were displayed in the forum again below, although the setting is enabled on the latest posts only . After I looked for a Hot , I found that the postings in the table "node" and " node_revision " in the column "sticky" with be " -100 " saved . But it should be only 1 or 0 , yes.

So I searched the internet for solutions but unfortunately without success . The website of Drupal 6 after Drupal 7 updated and everything else the side works well . Only the order of the posts are not correct.

I'm new to Drupal and trying to get the clean urls test to work.
I'm using Apache2 with Ubuntu 12.04 and Digest website authentication where the following statements have been placed in my .htaccess file in my Drupal root directory:
AuthType Digest
AuthName "(server name)"
AuthUserFile "/etc/apache2/.htpasswd_digest"
Require valid-user

I've been trying, rather unsuccessfully, to upload Drupal to my server and get to work on my site. When I go to my domain.com/install.php I'm seeing a blank white screen (nothing on the page source) and the log says:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function module_list() in /mnt/stor08-wc1-ord1/694335/xxxxxx/www.domain.com/web/content/includes/install.core.inc on line 260

Now, logic leads me to believe there is an issue on line 260 of the install.core.inc file, but I have no idea what that error is or how it got there.

I have watched numerous tutorials, and in all of them, there is an .exe file to install Drupal with the Acquia Desktop Dev. But when I unzip the file, there is no .exe file although all the other files seem to be there.

Just did a fresh install of Drupal 7.24 on godaddy. When logged in and working on site none of the links work ( Dashboard, Content, Structure, Appearance, People, Modules, Configuration, Reports, Help, etc... ). The correct link shows in address bar but never does direct to the link. I have to click the refresh button then it will go to the link I clicked on. I did a search in forum but didn't find a similar issue.
