I am new to PHP and Drupal, so please bear with me. I downloaded the Drupal files onto a LAMP server installed in a virtual machine and copied them to another location. That location is aliased in Apache.
Hi. I just updated drupal 7 and on Status Report I get 'The directory tmp does not exists.' Should I just create an empty one on the installation root? If yes, with what permissions?. Regards.
I am migrating my website to local server and I have got the following error
"The requested URL /about/ was not found on this server". Can anyone help me to fix this?
I get this error message after updating Drupal 7.14 to 7.24 when I browse to the site (that means, homepage and just any other page tried).

Please contact the server administrator, support@XXXXX.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
I downloaded Drupal 7.24 today and was following the install guide to the tee. When I run "localhost/install.php" using WAMP on my local machine, it shows on the explorer screen: "[One click installer] Installing the Search Engine Project". Am I doing something wrong? I copied and renamed the default.settings.php to settings.php.
