Setting up Database

I just downloaded and installed Drupal and am now trying to configure it. This is the path to my Drupal folder:

C:ProgramFiles/drupal-4.6.2

And this is the path to the website I'm going to work on:

C:sites/geozoo (I can already view this site at http://geozoo/; I have Apache virtual servers set up.)

I got stuck when I got to this point in the instructions:

"You can now launch your browser and point it to your Drupal site.

NoTeaser Module script posted by KPS - need help with parse error

Hello everyone,

I discovered an old post by KPS that had a script for a noteaser.module, obviously to remove teasers. I copied everything just as directed but now when I go to admin/modules I get the following parse error.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING
in ................noteaser.module on line 24

Can anyone guide me on fixing this? It looks like it will be a very useful module if I can only get it working.

Thanks

BTW I am using 4.6.2

No search matches in EventFinder

Hey folks... I'm having a very persistant problem with EventFinder - it doesn't find any events.
I've checked and rechecked all the installation instructions and still it doesn't work
I installed fresh versions of drupal for about 4-5 times and don't know what else to do. Here are the steps I took:
Installed Drupal.
Installed and activated Flexinode.
Created a new node type (named Meeting).
Installed and activated Event module.
Configured "Meeting" node to show in the events calendar (all views).
Installed and activated Location module.

How create the SQL tables event.mysql for the module "Event"

Hi,

I downloaded a new module "event".

I put it on the whole directory into http://var/www/drupal/drupal462/modules.

Then, I openned the install and readme files and follow the instructions : when I tried to create the SQL tables, it doesn't work.

I did it like this : mysql -u lord -pgemini drupal462 < event.mysql

lord : is my login on the drupal database
drupal462 : is my database
gemini : is my password to access to my database drupal462

Newbie Q: Taxonomy missing from admin menu

Hi All

I've been using Drupal for a few days and have most things up and running even built a few simple modules but I seem to have hit a brick wall with taxonomy in that dispite enabling the module and dispite enabling the permissions to use it I seem unable to get it to appear on the administrator menu as the docs seem to imply. I'm using the latest version so 4.6.2 with Postgres 8 and would appreciate some suggestions as to what stupid thing I've done wrong!

flexiblock module problem

The block is being displayed in the "flexiblock" location but the problem is it is ALSO being displayed in the normal location (where it would normally be displayed if it hadn't been enabled as a flexiblock block). I've got the same block in two places.

Anyone have this problem?
