Installing Drupal

This isn't so much a "problem", moreso just inquiring as to structure ...

Running XP, Apache 2.0, PHP 4.3.9. Login Page takes me to my root directory if I use the create new account option, or to a file not found if I log in. there are no admin pages. PHP.ini options are properly set, database has been imported, mySQL admin is set with privileges. Is anyone really running this on Windows????

I think I've struggled through everything correctly but can't access the admin panel. I've confirmed a formatted database in mySQL under the new database and have confirmed full access, etc. Instructions for initial admin access are vague at best.
When typing in http://localhost/index.php I do get the initial login page. When attempting to create a new account, I'm directed to the parent directory of this website as if the referrent file is not being found. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure this question is far to simple! I'm not able to find out, how to set the language of a module (*.po-file available). Can somebody give me a hand?

Hi,

I have a problem using HTMLArea, I installed the right version, everything should be right but it doesn't work. Then I modified the page template to "manually" load htmlarea and use it when an 'edit-body' textarea was found. This worked fine with firefox, but explorer says something like operation aborted.

Any idea ??

I just installed the Event module (the first module I ever installed!) and there seems to be a problem. Obviously I didn't do something that needs to be done, but unfortunately I have no idea what it is.
