privatemsg error at top of pages

I am getting the following error when I activate the private messages module:

user error: Unknown column 'newmsg' in 'where clause'
query: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM privatemsg WHERE recipient = '1' AND newmsg = 1 AND recipient_del = 0 in /hsphere/local/home/twcenter/writercafes.com/authors/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 66.

Can someone please help me to resolve this error as I like this module and it will work great on my site.

Thanks

Is there a limit on the number of modules you can install?

I have a test site (version 4.6.2) that I am using to install and test out many modules . However, I came to a point where I could install modules but they wouldn't show up in admin --> modules. I though perhaps I had installed them wrong so I installed some other modules. They didn't show up either.

I realize that I may have just borked something up that prevented other modules from showing up but could not help but wonder if there might be a limit to how many modules can be connected. It doesn't make sense that there would be a limit, but it can't hurt to ask.

How can I delete login or start all over?

I finally got Drupal up and running, only get bogged down again by the login. I typed in what I thought were my username and password, but they didn't work. I tried to register, but it says my username, password and e-mail are already taken. Or I create a new account, and it says a password will be e-mailed to me - but I get new e-mail.

By now I'm hopelessly confused. I'd like to know how to simply delete the entire login function. I'll be the only one working on my websites, so I don't really need it.

"Warning Errors" during first configuration attempt

I have completed all the file setup for both the root folder and the database. The database and the settings.php have been connected. When I point my browser to my site, I get the following error (haven't found this one in the archives):

Base URL Question

I originally asked this question as part of another thread, but I think I should post it separately.

I just downloaded and installed Drupal, which I want to use on my animals website, GeoZoo. I already have a GeoZoo site at C:sites/geozoo. I can view it in a browser at http://geozoo/ because I have Apache virtual hosts set up.
