I am completely new to drupal and I'm struggling to get this drupal site running. I am using Drupal 8 on Xampp, and I ran into this error after filling out configure site section on that initial Drupal setup screen when you first go to the url.
How do I set up Moodle so that it's in a Drupal 8 subdirectory (or as a subdomain) on my dev site and then move to the live site like "mainsite.com/moodle" or "moodle.mainsite.com"? Single login is not necessary, as there is no module yet that integrates Moodle with Drupal 8. They can be two separate systems with separate logins.
Hi! I am new to Drupal. I use BlueHost "shared" hosting. There, I can do a "one click install" of Drupal 7. I don't really know what that means, or how this differs from installing Drupal 7 on my own local PC. What is the difference between these? Why would someone do one or the other? If I did the "one click install" of the scripts on the BlueHost site, what would I gain (or lose) as compared to installing Drupal on my own local PC? Thanks, Richard
I'm trying to install Drupal, I've never used it before. I've downloaded the files, unzipped it on my dev server, changed /sites/default/default.settings.php to /sites/default/settings.php, I've created a blank MySQL database, and have gone to the URL to try to install it.
So far I've gotten to "Choose language" but save and continue doesn't do anything. It just reloads the same "Choose language" page.
I've been pressed into service to improve an existing (public) website, and I want to finish the site on a local host, as is recommended. However, I can't find a walk-through that isn't obtuse, outdated (version problems), or incomplete. I'm not a web developer, but I have to complete this project. As a result, I need answers that are written for a toddler with minor web experience, or for an intelligent person without any. Telling me to "just comment out the SMA call in the sql for the transfer site's portal 240 reference" isn't going to help me.
