Announcing the Drupal Association

For many of us, Drupal is very much a labor of love. It's a story of having fun and working hard. If you follow what we do, it's easy to understand what we're all about -- making it easy to build websites, both for users and developers. Passion spreads and as a result, Drupal's size and scope has grown beyond what an ad hoc group of volunteers can realistically manage. Organizing last summer's Drupal conference in Brussels would have been a lot easier with some financial backing, for example. Maintaining, scaling, upgrading, and improving the Drupal.org infrastructure is becoming a monumental task.

In response, we're proud to launch the Drupal Association. The Drupal Association is a non-profit organization with one goal: to support the Drupal project.

Drupal Norge adds more features

Drupal Norge, the user-driven community site for translators, developers, and users of Drupal in Norway, has been adding more and more features to help promote Drupal in Norway as well as features for helping existing norwegian users with their own Drupal installations.

New additions such as the "Drupal support på norsk", to be found at http://www.drupalnorge.no/support, is a forum category transformed into a Q&A feature ala Yahoo Answers where users who gave answers to support- questions are also highlighted in a sort-of Hall of Fame block. "Håndbøker på norsk", to be found at http://www.drupalnorge.no/bok, are 3 user handbooks in norwegian. Drupal Norge's user and node search can also be installed automatically as an additional search provider for the Firefox and Internet Explorer. These two browsers automatically discovers Drupal Norge's search plug-ins. Instructions on the latter is to be found at http://www.drupalnorge.no/sok-drupal-norge-vha-sokeboksen-i-din-nettleser or visit the site and take a look at your browser's search bar.

Drupal Norge was launched on the 14th of February 2007 and the site can be found at http://www.drupalnorge.no.

Bounty for Asterisk Meetme Module

I have posted a bounty starting at $100 US for the following that would be a great Skypecast alternative:
develop a Drupal module that would do the following:

1. Allow an authenticated Drupal user to create a Meetme conference on a Trixbox server.

2. Once such conference is created allow that user access to the Meetme web controller web page on such Asterisk server, but only to the conference that they create.

Druapl sites spammed/can't login

I've got a critical problem! It appears our Russian friends have returned with spam posts, logging in as users and posting comments.

Only this time is different. Somehow they've managed to hack the admin interface. When I login as user #1, I get access denied. So right now I'm frozen out of the website!

I DESPERATELY need some help on this! How can one regain admin access without deleting the entire dataset?
