Paid Drupal services

Dear Drupallers,

We have a forum, were trolls sometimes take over and influence the total atmosphere on the forum. To combat this effectively we want to introduce shadow banning (a.k.a. caving the troll, or stealth banning).

Some more technical information: our forum runs on Drupal 7 with Advanced Forums. As we also have a friends list, we would like to show the shadow banned nodes and comments to the original author, and his friends.

We are looking for someone who has experience in creating/modifying Drupal 7 text format filters.

Basically we need a input format that will
tag into a double line break at minimum.

At most we would need the above, but it would be cool to have something that can bold the first few words of text as well (but this might be pie in the sky).

The issue comes from a text document that will be copied and pasted into a specific page on the Drupal site each week.

The input format would help clean it up a bit and make it more readable.

I have a client with a cool project, we've made good progress on the development but now have ran into issues with using Views and having large queries. We are on VPS boxes, a database server (4GB) and a web server (2GB) we have cronjobs happening on other (1GB) VPS boxes.

I tried implementing SOLR, but the Views required some dynamic data (i.e., Flag and VBO). I'm aware that using Views is not as optimized as EntityFieldQuery directly, but the client is fond of controlling business logic in the UI (Views UI).

I hope this is a good forum to ask this. I'm very sorry if it's not :)

I've been thinking for years already that it would be exciting to live in the USA for a couple of years or more. There's still one quite big doubt about working in there because I've heard about long working days and short vacations. I'm not a workaholic though!

So I would like to hear how is it to work as a Drupal/web developer in the states? How many hours per day you work, how long paid holidays you get etc?
