I may be looking for some help developing a module for a client.
I have a site, with a number of users. Some if these user have a role called Bootcamp - if the user has this role, they need to be able to track their measurements (like, wight, hip diameter, stomach diameter and thigh diameter. Also softer values like how much energy do you have, how well did you sleep - maybe more.
I have products with attributes - one of those attributes is a sample item, I need a system that will only allow 3 instances of this attribute to be added to the cart at any given user session. That is either 3 instances of one product or a combination of any products - but no more than 3 can be added to the cart.
The attribute name remains a constant but the product name does not.
I need a solution which does not hack the ubercart or Drupal core as this would be counter-productive when it comes to module and core updates.

I'm not really a web guy but can hold my owm. I have been looking at various platforms for my website and settled with Drupal which seems to fit my needs well, better yet it's easy to add / remove content which is important for me.
Thier are a few things I would like to do within Drupal but can't seem to figure out, I am willing to pay someone to help me get this figured out and setup.
We are an academic library preparing a grant application to develop an existing Drupal site with new sophisticated animations. Since this is our first time hiring a web developer, we are curious if members of this forum have some general feedback about expected costs for this proposed work.
