Drupal Developer Needed (semi-permanent contract)

Here's the deal. I'm trying to convert a legacy site to Drupal. Kind of a "reverse Frankenstein" ... taking something that's bolted together and needs to be jumpstarted weekly and converting it to something elegant and, well, supportable. I need someone who's better at Drupal than I am (I'm solid on Joomla, *Nuke, LDU, WP, etc. but this is my first time with Drupal) to help wade through this thing and pick out what needs to be moved forward, and turn it into modules.

The application is a job/career site for a vertical market - the community features of Drupal are key to the strategy, hence the migration. The external application has a lot of neat featues but they're hard to find with the current user experience.

The company is a start-up in Los Angeles which has started generating revenue. We're looking for someone to be a semi-permanent contractor (i.e. 2-4 days/week for a while). The core team are all experienced people with extensive start-up experience - this isn't 2 guys in a garage downing Jolt Cola.

You should ... know your way around Drupal well ... know how to integrate with an external application in Drupal ... understand Drupal form processing (including what doesn't really work even though it should) ... be a *good* PHP and mySQL coder ... be capable of helping to support a large Drupal site ... be capable of integrating other web-based services ... have enough experience to help take a 200+ file project and condense it down to the 30 or 40 files it really needs. Knowledge of AJAX is also a big, huge plus because there's a side project which will need to be done as well involving AJAX.
