Hi, we need to hire an experienced Drupal theme/CSS/UI designer ASAP to create a new theme for an exciting autism-related health site we'll be launching shortly. The site includes treatment fact sheets, summaries of the latest research, treatment blogs by parents, a wiki, and forums. There are two parts of the design:
+ The main theme of the site will be three columns, with a wide middle column for content, a left column for navigation, and a right column for ads. There will be a menubar across all columns at the top and a footer at the bottom. The colors we're looking for are similar to http://www.steppenwolf.org/. We definitely want a friendly, accessible, Web 2.0 look and feel, rather than a typical Drupal look.
+ The home page of the site will have a unique theme. It will have the same menus at the top, then a wide picture across all three columns, and then three even columns with links to updated content. We want the home page to have a similar look to http://www.apple.com. The content at the bottom would look a bit like the second row of content from http://www.freestandards.org/.
We want the themes to be validating XHTML and CSS, with a table layout, but with the center column coming first for SEO and accessibility purposes. We also want friendly, thoughtful, English-speaking designers who will work with us to understand what we're trying to accomplish with the site, and make recommendations about what we should be doing differently.
