Paid Drupal services

Looking at achieving the following: One central site, many (potentially millions) of sub-sites.

I have concerns regarding scalability and how to achieve.

Need to talk to someone with experience on this and get a sense as to whether the solution is using OG or multiple databases with shared users table.

Any ideas?

In relation with this.

I'm the project manager of an Israeli based company. I currently live in New-Delhi, India. My company wishes to create something similar (but not exactly the same) to this site .

We are looking for a designer that will do the site design. The ability to do the theming is an advantage but not necessary (OpenLaszlo knowledge advantage as well - but again, not necessary).

Time line: 1-APR-2007 until 1-MAR-2007

Currently, I edit a multi-user blog that uses Wordpress:

I want to transition to a more a community-oriented website which has the following features:

- front page (the link above), pretty much stays as is
- add user journals
- create "subblogs" to highlight on the sidebar
- be able to organize entries from various journals into a common subblog
- a site design similar to what already exists
