PLUM, a television and online media company, seeks a freelance drupal web developer at our New York headquarters. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter to help build our online applications. Experience and knowledge of drupal in a linux/freebsd server environment is highly desired, as is expertise in php and MySQL.

We are looking for a talented developer to completely re-design our existing website and turn it into a all-powerful drupal website.

We have recently received second-round funding and are now looking forward to implementing all the features we feel will take the business forward and help with our rapid growth.

Responsibilities
* Custom PHP/MySQL coding (e.g., Drupal modules and custom db queries)
* Website architecture planning
* Custom module development
* Working with 3rd party API's such as Salesforce
* Security updates
* Bug fixes
* Work closely with other developers and designers
* Active participation in the Drupal development community

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

* PHP and MySQL programming/coding knowledge/experience required
* Working knowledge and experience with Drupal strongly preferred (interest and ability to learn Drupal API and participate in the Drupal community required)
* Unix/Linux, Apache, basic server administration knowledge a big plus
* AJAX, Javascript (especially jQuery library), Java, Ruby, *nix, Apache, xml and/or Flash is a plus
* Written and verbal communication skills

I am in need of some estimates to convert my joomla site over to
drupal. I have had too many issues with Joomla and it can not seem to perform the way I need it too.

My site is not very large, it uses a submit articles section, shows random images/articles.

Basically I need people to be able to submit a story with one or two photos. The article
should show a thumbnail and then when clicked open like the lightbox.

I also need a 'recent submissions' so show and possible random...just as my site is now.

The right person understands how to create and modify modules/themes/views and should know how to get a custom looking website out of Drupal. We are not looking for someone that knows how to install a module.

Our company is currently in the process of revamping its corporate web site using Drupal 5.1 and we have a requirement for an experienced Drupal developer to provide some education and guidance on an ad hoc basis. We will be enhancing the site progressively over the next six months, during which time we will gradually be getting deeper and deeper into custom forms, custom modules, etc and will need some assistance in those areas.
