Image X Media is looking for a talented web developer with considerable experience working as a Drupal developer/programmer. The position requires exceptional programming skills, problem solving abilities, a strong work ethic and an eye for design. Reporting to the Project Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for taking a web project from the development phase to the final product or in some cases for creating or customizing Drupal modules to integrate with other applications.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities
• Working with a team (designers, creative director, project manager, and other developers) to create compelling and cutting edge web sites and web applications.
• Responsible for turning design and user interface mockups into functional web sites.
• Custom programming and web application development.
• Testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing client sites.

Requirements:
• Independence, willingness to learn and problem solving skills are a must.
• At least two years of related work experience/education.
• Must be able to handle a face paced work environment, deadlines, and new challenges.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.

Technical Skills:
• Significant experience with Drupal API, themes and assets.

I've downloaded and installed 5.1, Danish language, some modules and themes - and all the simple functions I can understand.
I might get a portal website (I'm a webdesigner) - and I would like to make an offer implementing it in Drupal.
I would like to get some paid help in Denmark, Zealand. someone who will use 5-10 hours on me - and the project, so I can learn which files to change - and to re-develop a theme etc.

I'm preparing to launch a general news / political site built on Drupal, "The Weekly Weird". The content will be original, creative writing in the genre of Hunter S Thompson. I've contacted several template designers, web studios etc but have had no responses so let's go straight to the community...

I need a site logo and Drupal template with a unique identity, clean / modern design. I'd also like to consult with the designer on the overall site layout.
I will be collecting estimates for the work based on whatever criteria the designer(s) need in order to build said estimate.
I'd prefer to have one designer create the complete style but may split the work up if the design benefits or if "we", (you and I) determine parts of the work should be performed by specialists.
Due to the nature of this enterprise (being a one-person show at this point) I can only take bids which are flat rate, all inclusive.
I work in the web industry and will not be a pain in the ass client nor will I expect the World for a buck o' five. I'm considered to be very laid-back and open to creative design ideas. I do need quality design and a firm delivery schedule, however.
I'd prefer professionals with a portfolio but may consider working with a "new" designer based on examples of design and work-related references.

Our church currently has a custom website http://sequoyahchurch.org written in ASP and MSSQL. The current site has a custom admin backend that allows WYSIWYG editing of content and uploading of pictures/files. We like the look and feel of the site (colors, images, flash movie on front page) but we are attracted to the strong CMS features and social aspects of drupal. I am comfortable with some programming but am new to drupal and php. I am looking for a resource I could contract as a 1099 hourly to assist with some of the "heavy lifting".

I have installed a 5.x site at http://dbrs-test.com to use as a test site and debug area until the new drupal site is ready to go live.

Please email me with your thoughts and hourly rates; also if you don't mind please post a short comment to let others in the community know our progress.

Goals:

1. Use the power of drupal and existing modules to maintain the site (minimize custom code)
2. Uses images, flash, css from existing site to get a similar look and feel

Tasks:

1. Review both sites (I can provide all source for existing site and ftp access if needed)
2. Add any necessary modules to new drupal site
3. Start moving images, flash, css settings (colors, styles, etc.) from old site to new site
