I am using drupal 5.1 install created with fantastico, runing on a *nix host.
What I would like to have happen is that users earn "user points" for contributing to the site. They can spend the points (as one option) to have their post "featured" on the front page.
I would like their content (the individual story chosen) to be able to be automatically promoted as a "featured item", then demoted automatically. (either after a set time, or as a result of another user spending more points....by definition there would need to be some limitations on how many posts can be "featured".
I have tried with using ACTIONS module and WORKFLOW which can easily put all posts of a certain type to be promoted and locked, but these two modules cannot make any decision to only promote some posts.
