SoundVision Productions, a small non-profit organization based in Berkeley, CA, seeks a Drupal/Unix Consultant for 4-8 hours per month and on-call assistance.

Required:

• Proven expertise in Unix and Drupal administration and programming.
• Ability to respond quickly in the case of an urgent problem.

Preferred:

• Local to Berkeley/Oakland/San Francisco, California.
• Experience managing Unix servers as sysadmin or ISP.

Time commitment:

• 4-8 hours per month; sometimes up to 24.
• On call for emergencies. Proactively coordinate with SoundVision staff to ensure constant coverage.

Duties:

The Drupal/Unix Consultant will work with SoundVision's IT team to ensure the smooth operation, backup and security of the organization's web/email/ftp server, and in particular an existing Drupal-based intranet website which relies heavily on Unix shell scripts and FTP. This is a dedicated server without root access; the host is very responsive and can assist with root operations if necessary. The Drupal/Unix Consultant will respond to requests by the IT team to:

• Help configure the server; assist in creating and implementing scripts for transferring files, fixing permissions, monitoring status etc.

We are a uk based company seeking developers to work with us on our outstanding projects and to build a working relationship with us.

Developers need to have knowledge of adding modules, configuring and editing modulus and adding themes to the sites.

At the moment we have a number of projects we can get you started on.

We don’t normally pay per hour but mostly a project price for each job. We always do all basic installation of the Drupal and common models and create the theme images and documentation which we add to our project site for you to use.
