The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience working with web related code, concepts and project planning. Many of our larger sites use the Drupal framework; knowledge of Drupal and other Open Source platforms is required. Trellon is a development shop based in Washington, DC and we are looking for a few great programmers. We have a number of projects coming up here and in NYC where we are going to need people who can handle some pretty challenging requirements in terms of performance, information architecture and training. The projects are big and there are lots of skills we are looking for. Right now, we are interviewing for a variety of positions ranging from contract jobs to full time developer jobs, and each will include the opportunity for long term, full time positions with our team. We are growing pretty fast right now, and this is a chance to get involved with a great team of developers at a high level (or, if you are not into long-term responsibility, to work on some cool contracts and learn a whole lot about Drupal in the process).

I have a need for a featured-stories/news highlights block for our community-licensed public broadcasting (non-profit) company. I'd really like to be able to end up with something like what you can find on abcnews.com (using javascript).

Specific ideas that we have regarding the design/functionality of the module:

- We'd like to have the ability to have multiple instances of the block (with different content on different pages/instances; for example, the content populating abcnews' block changes when you navigate to a different sub-section (politics vs. money, etc.)

- We have different types of information to provide users, so ideally, again, like abcnews we would be able to have a tabbed list of headlines (one tab "tv", one tab "radio"--tabs being optional; one instance of the player might not need a second tab)

- We'd like to use a Content type that is specific to the player--so ideally, this would be a turn-key module for drupal 5.x. We'd add the content and it would get sent to the block. Here again, the abcnews player incorporates most of what we would need, although we could get more specific if you are interested in this project.
